Summary

Establishes a framework for the introduction of a student identifier for individuals undertaking nationally recognised vocational education and training from 1 January 2014 by: providing for how the student identifier may be assigned, collected, used and disclosed; providing for the creation of an authenticated transcript of an individual’s record of nationally recognised training undertaken; establishing the Student Identifiers Agency to administer the scheme; and providing for the functions, powers, appointment and terms and conditions of the Chief Executive Officer of the agency.
